Citing the letter, Chowdhury mentioned the civil aviation ministry has already “shortlisted Kailashahar airport amongst 50 services for air connectivity underneath the Regional Connectivity Scheme in response to the chief minister’s request.
The state has determined to put in a bronze statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram on the new terminal constructing which was constructed at Rs 520 crore.
“The current statue of Maharaja Bir Bikram is put in on the previous terminal constructing which can’t be shifted to the brand new one. That’s why the state will lay a brand new bronze sculpture of the Maharaja Bir Bikram with a price of Rs 25 lakh,” he mentioned. Agartala Arts School has been assigned to make a bronze statue of Maharaja, he added.
